Directions to Longacre
The directions from Google Maps are pretty accurate, however tests by human monkeys has shown there could be a little confusion, especially when nearly at the final destination.
PLEASE DO NOT RELY ON YOUR SATNAV! - IT WILL JUST DIRECT YOU TO THE MIDDLE OF THE VILLAGE, NOT OUR FRONT DOOR!

So, hopefully, here are some instructions which should make things a little clearer:
Assuming you are travelling from the rest of the World, and are now on the A38 heading towards Plymouth, you need to ignore the first exit signposted to Ashburton, after about a mile and a half you will come to another exit, also signposted Ashburton.
This is called the Peartree interchange - Leave the A38 here.
At the top of the exit ramp turn immediately left, this is signposted to Landscove.
Keep on this lane for a couple of miles. Eventually you will pass a Nursery on your right called Hill House (excellent nursery by the way).
Keep going and after a short while you will come to a little village green – this is Landscove. On the left is a small community hall.
Turn immediately left just passed the hall – signposted Blackler Barton and Gullaford farms – if you pass a pub called The Live and Let Live, you have gone too far.
After a few yards, there is a fork where the main lane drops down to the left.
You need to take the fork which goes straight ahead – there is a white board which lists all the properties down this lane, Longacre is listed on the top.
Go all the way down here, cross a track, and Longacre is the only house on the left, pull in on the left – there are a couple of garages set into the hillside, if you could park either nose in or back to the garages. Please, also, could you avoid driving onto my neighbour’s driveway opposite.
Longacre is an upside down house, so to gain entry you need go though the gap in the wall to the right of the garages and take the steps on the left, and then come in via the kitchen doors – the first doors on the right.
I would be grateful if you could give me an idea of your arrival time – check in is after 1615hrs.
Looking forward to welcoming you to Longacre!
A bit more information about Longacre and its environs:
The Devon Lanes
I feel I should also say something about the Devon Lanes.
As soon as you turn off the A38 and head towards Landscove, you will notice that the road becomes a single lane - DO NOT BE AFRAID! Just take it easy, obey the normal rules of the road and you will be fine.
These lanes are an intrinsic and historic part of the beautiful Devon landscape and the area would not be the same without them. To the best of my knowledge there has been no loss of life of limb in living memory, so there is no reason not to come here or give me poor marks because you may have had to back up to let a tractor pass, or not sure how wide your car is.
Longacre is one of five privately owned properties, in a developement that used to be Blackler Barton Farm. Longacre is the only property on the left, as you drive through the gate into the developement. Please respect the privacy of my neighbours, and do not drive or walk onto their property.
